Browser Extension Developer (React) (Remote)

We're looking for an experienced software developer to join us.

We are focused on creating products that are used by millions around the world. Some of our products include Clockify (time tracking app), Pumble (team chat app), and Plaky (project management app).

Clockify is the world's #1 time tracker, used by millions of people, from individuals to big companies like Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, American Express, Amazon, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Implement new features and integrations for our browser extensions
  • Maintain internal and public codebases, administer pull requests, and schedule code releases
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipeline
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX design
  • Solve customer-facing issues

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years experience in software development
  • Minimum 3+ years experience with JavaScript
  • Minimum 2-year experience with React
  • Excellent understanding of browser components (LocalStorage, Service Workers, Event loop, caching mechanisms)
  • Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs
  • Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • A knack for benchmarking and optimization
  • Familiarity with Git
  • Ability to work in CET timezone
  • Fluent in Ex-Yu languages (Serbian, Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin)

Nice to haves

  • Professional experience with Chrome Extension API
  • Familiarity with WebSocket API
