We're looking for an experienced product designer to help us elevate our products further.

CAKE.com is a unicorn, product-based software company, with offices in California, Europe and Asia.

We are focused on creating products that are used by millions around the world. Some of our products include Clockify (time tracking app), Pumble (business communication app), and Plaky (task management app).

Clockify is the world's #1 time tracker, used by millions, from individuals to big companies like Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, American Express, Amazon, etc.

Responsibilities

Design and continuously improve user friendly interfaces and cohesive experiences to ensure consistency across products and platforms. Work closely with cross-functional teams on diverse problems that range from micro-copy to cross platform goliaths to define goals and deliver high quality solutions.

Use Figma and FigJam to design user flows, prototypes, and compelling UI solutions
Document your work through annotations and appropriate documentation.
Maintain and expand on our vast network of design systems, libraries and files
Conduct, analyze and elaborate competitor research on a regular basis
Propose solutions based on task requirements and feedback from manager
Balance between user and business needs
Create low and high-fidelity prototypes for both team collaboration and usability testing
Effectively communicate design solutions and decisions in a clear, articulate manner, showcasing deep understanding of UX principles, design methodologies and rationale behind design choices while presenting to other team members
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers and design team members

Requirements

5+ years of experience designing software products
Advanced in Figma and up to date with its latest features
Advance understanding of Design systems, pattern libraries and file organization best practices
Experience in SaaS industry
Strong UX copywriting skills
Fluent in English language
Ability to work in CET timezone (8:00-16:00 UTC+1)
Fluent in Ex-Yu languages (Serbian, Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin)

Portfolio requirements

Applications without portfolio link will not be considered
Make sure you have at least 3-5 case studies that demonstrate your skills
Show your capacity for empathy and understanding of user experience by not sending us multiple file links, cloud links, or purely visual showcases of your work, these will not be considered

Knowledge of HTML and CSS
